The owners of the Matcon Civil Constructors Inc. oversee the daily operations of the company. We maintain our estimating and project management duties to keep ourselves current with the latest technology and recent market trends. Combined, we bring over 80 years of practical and administrative experience to the company. Today we are pleased to say that all the Matcon Civil companies, regardless of location, are leaders in the industry for all the markets they represent.
Involved in civil construction for more than forty-three years as a cost account manager, estimator, project manager and development analyst, Ron has extensive experience in land development and gravel operations. Ron was a founding partner of T.R.S. Construction Services Ltd. and oversaw its growth to $25,000,000 in annual revenues prior to establishing the Matcon Group. In addition, along with partner Kirk Guse, Ron was instrumental in founding the very successful Quantum Group of Companies, one of the leading environmental services organizations in Canada. Ron provides oversight and review of project work as well as maintaining project management and estimating duties as needed throughout the Matcon Group of Companies.
With Matcon since 1989, Kirk has over forty-eight years of experience in civil construction in a variety of roles including construction superintendent, estimator and project manager. Along with Ron, Kirk was a founding partner in Quantum Group of Companies, and Matcon Shoring and Excavation. Kirk was also the founding partner of Matcon Construction in Kelowna, BC, which is responsible for projects in excess of $15,000,000 annually. Kirk provides oversight and review of project work as well as maintaining project management and estimating duties as needed throughout the Matcon Group of Companies.
Lance has been with Matcon Civil since 1997 and is responsible for management of construction related operations, including oversight and review of all project management staff and senior construction staff as well as client liaison, market analysis, and equipment purchasing. In addition to company management duties Lance also maintains project management and estimating duties.
Lance has developed successful relationships with municipal managers and clients throughout the region. His reputation as a creative participant in the planning and design of our projects is reflected in his extensive portfolio, and guarantees added value to every relationship Matcon Civil builds.
Responsible for jointly managing the day-to-day aspects of Matcon Civil’s business, Adam maintains project management and estimating duties. Adam is also a manager of the TFN Construction / Matcon Civil Joint Venture, a successful partnership formed with Tsawwassen First Nation that has secured $75,000,000 in contracts to date.
Recognized by the Canadian Construction Association as a Gold Seal Certified Estimator in Heavy Civil Construction, Adam’s projects see him directly involved in the planning and control of the construction operations. Being a member of Matcon Civil’s construction management team, Adam has accumulated a long list of high profile road and utility projects over his eighteen years in the road construction industry and developed successful relationships with municipal managers and clients for projects in Surrey, Delta, Langley, Anmore, Coquitlam, Burnaby, Tsawassen and many others.
