It is our policy to provide the highest standard of service without compromising the health and safety of our employees, customers or the general public. This is be achieved through the implementation of a comprehensive health and safety program that is designed to meet all WorkSafeBC, federal, provincial and industry standards and regulations. The cooperation and adherence to the health and safety program is not only expected, but it is a condition of employment with Matcon Civil Constructors.

Leadership is committed to promoting positive attitudes towards health and safety within the organization.

Leadership is responsible and accountable for providing a safe work site and for establishing and maintaining adequate standards of maintenance of both site and equipment to ensure that physical and health hazards are guarded against or eliminated, and for developing safe work procedures conducive to a safe and healthy workplace.

All personnel are responsible and accountable for maintaining the standards of the regulations and requirements in this management system.

We recognize the right for all employees to work in a safe environment and everyone is expected to correct or report unsafe conditions and activities immediately and to work cooperatively towards the prevention of unsafe actions, activities and conditions.

And we are committed to limiting the impact of workplace injury or illness by having a comprehensive Injury Management program. All workers are required to take part in the Injury Management Program and adhere to any return to work or modified duty program they are medically cleared to complete.

Our company health and safety program has been designed with best intentions for all employees, subcontractors, visitors and customers in mind. The health and safety program will be reviewed annually to ensure we continue to provide the most up to date safety methods. Complete cooperation in all the components is mandatory.
